Listening to Your Baby with Doppler Ultrasound
Congratulations! You're Expecting!
One of the techniques that may be used by you or your caregiver for improved prenatal care is to listen to your baby's heartbeat with an instrument called an ultrasonic Doppler fetal heart detector, or just "Doppler" for short.
These sensitive instruments can hear the fetal heartbeat long before it can be detected with an ordinary stethoscope.
We had the great honor of being mentioned in Business Week in the Feb 19th, 2001 edition regarding our customer service and our Fetal Monitors.
Other mini-dots knew not to get too big for their britches. They're focused on narrow niches they know really well, allowing them to provide intensely personal service. Stethoscopes4u, for instance, is operated Full-time by Joseph A. Rybicki, a nurse anesthetist in North Carolina. Call up his 877 number and you'll get Rybicki himself, who can tell you which stethoscope can detect your baby-to-be's heartbeat in the womb. Says Andrew Beebe, chairman of the small-business services site Bigstep.com: ''The personal touch is what will make them succeed.''
